The No Touch Orienteering (NTO) app and website collects and uses certain personal information from you. We use this information to provide you with additional links which you might find helpful.
What we collect:
We store all of your personal information in a secure database. This information includes your name and email address, and your location, obtained by GPS. During the waiver process, we also log the data from the device you use to sign up for a course. We do not obtain any other data.
What we share:
We share your information with interested third parties who may email you with advertising of products that might interest you, based on your interest in orienteering. You can delete your subscription to the third party’s announcements at anytime without affecting your app preferences.
This is known as “third party sharing” and you can opt-out or opt-in at anytime.
In addition we provide your information to the club whenever you sign-up for a course. This information is given to the club with which you signed up. The club can then inform you of its activities and new course announcements. You can delete your subscription to the club’s announcements at anytime without affecting your app preferences.
This is known as “club email sharing” and you can opt-out or opt-in at anytime.
Can you opt out?
When you sign up, you automatically opt-in to share your information with both third parties and clubs unless you choose to not share it. Should you choose to opt out of third party sharing or club email sharing you may do so at any time by modifying your profile. Any changes you make to your profile
Waivers:
Whenever you sign up for a course, you agree and sign a waiver of your legal rights to sue the club posting the course and the producers of the phone app. The waiver is presented to you prior to your signing, and once signed you must approve it. Once you approve you may complete the process and obtain the course. Your signed waiver is emailed to you and is retained in our database.
Can you delete your account entirely?
Yes, go the sign in page and delete your account. All of your information is permanently removed from our database.
